RAIPUR: An AI-assisted digital healthcare system jointly developed by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur was launched on Tuesday. The system aims to strengthen the emergency medical system, thereby benefiting patients in remote areas and resource-limited settings. A live demonstration was conducted from AIIMS Cardiology ICU.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai, said that the technical aspects of the solution were developed by a team at IIT Bhilai led by Professor Santosh Biswas, while the overall architecture and adaptation to India’s healthcare needs was developed by IIT Bhilai. The university said it was in charge. A team from AIIMS Raipur led by Dr. DK Tripathi. The result is the launch of the “ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI, Heart Attack) Using AI Integrated Clinical Decision Support System.” Professor Rajiv Prakash further added that Ayush-Tech, a collaboration between IIT Bhilai and AIIMS Raipur that was launched in June 2023, will bring together the technical and medical expertise of these two organizations and bring together students, faculty and industry. The aim is to provide a common, integrated platform for the Our vision is to improve healthcare facilities through cutting-edge engineering technology, including education/training, collaborative research and development, and entrepreneurship. The mission of this joint effort is to optimally utilize the resources, infrastructure, and knowledge of both institutions for the betterment of society.
Dr. Ashok Jindal, Director, AIIMS Raipur, congratulated the team and expressed happiness that the solutions resulting from this initiative were implemented for the first time in less than a year. He further stated that this launch is an important milestone in the company’s continued efforts to integrate technology and medicine for the betterment of society.
