A new movie theater is coming to Grand Island.
Woodsonia Real Estate Inc. announced Thursday that a B&B theater will open at Conestoga Marketplace.
B&B Theaters has more than 50 locations across the United States, according to Woodsonia. Although most of its locations are in Missouri, the company currently operates a movie theater in Omaha’s Oak View Plaza.
B&B plans to build a seven-screen theater with heating and reclining seats, according to a press release. The facility also includes a 10-lane bowling alley, a 7,000-square-foot arcade, four full-size pickleball courts, and a restaurant with a full-service bar.
“Our privately held, family-owned company is excited to enter the Grand Island market,” Bob Bagbee, president and CEO of B&B Theaters, said in the release. “It’s a beautiful B&B-like, town-like community. We love what we do and can’t wait to bring the magic of film to the area.”
