correction
- We fixed an issue where PDF text fields and dropdown values were rendered twice for certain files when using the Microsoft Edge built-in PDF reader with Adobe Acrobat.
- We fixed an issue where certain PDF files would not print correctly when printed in landscape mode using the “Fit to Printable Area” option.
Feature updates
- Move the managed site indicator (briefcase icon) to the address bar lock icon in the address bar. The briefcase icon that indicates a page is managed by a managed policy has been moved to a lock icon in the address bar. End users can view details about protection for a specific page by clicking the lock icon in the address bar and then clicking the briefcase icon. For more information, see About data loss prevention in Microsoft Edge.
- Deprecation of image extensions. Image extensions have been deprecated to improve the end user experience.
- Configure recommended policies in the Microsoft Edge management service. The Microsoft Edge management service now allows administrators to set recommended policies. This gives end users the ability to override administrator policy configurations.
- Microsoft Edge has rebranded web capture to “Screenshot.” Microsoft Edge has rebranded Web Capture with a new icon and renamed the feature to “Screenshot.” Users can easily consume content on the web by taking screenshots of entire pages or selected areas. You can mark up the screenshots you take later with pen or touch. Administrators can control availability using the WebCaptureEnabled policy.
