A Reddit user has unveiled a clever PC mod that uses a lock and key to power up a gaming PC.

One Redditor decided to take the monotonous method of turning on your PC a step further. Reddit user Shellybee23 has modified his PC case so that he can start his PC by simply turning a key instead of pressing the power button.
Perfect for people with cats and children
Posting on r/PCMasterRace, Reddit user Shellybee23 shared an image of the ingenious modification. This image shows a lock and key, but it’s not in the locker or in the car, it’s the new power switch on his gaming PC.

In the comments of the subreddit, Shellybee23 revealed that the alternate power switch was created by modifying a Raidmax X903 PC case. The key in question was a momentary key switch that I purchased separately and attached to the case myself.
Shellybee23 has thought of everything for this unique PC mod. In response to a question from his subreddit user CrahmDem, he said:
“If you lose that key, it’s over.”
