PGA Tour rookie Jake Knapp had 11 birdies on Saturday to take control of the Mexican Open at Vidanta in Vallarta, Mexico with an 8-under 63 and a 4-0 lead into the final round with a spot at the Masters on the line. It gave him a batting lead. line.

European tour: Spanish golfer Manuel Elvira has joined his older brother Nacho in the race to win the European Tour after taking the lead at the Kenya Open after the third round in Nairobi.
The younger Elvira shot a 4-under 67, tying him with Dutchman Darius van Driel (68) at 10 under.
Nacho, 37, won his only tour title in 2021 at the Kazoo Open in Wales, where he shot a 68 to finish tied for sixth, three strokes back.
