Over the past week, the Fall/Winter 2024 season opened in Milan, with the most prominent designers taking over the scene and presenting their creative collections. Industry stalwarts like Prada and Bottega Veneta have proven themselves to be excellent. While Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons looked to the past to design the future, Mathieu Blazy used his mastery to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Meanwhile, the designers’ debuts made waves as Adrian Appiolaza and Matteo Tamburini took over the runway to show their first collections for Moschino and Tod’s respectively.
In fact, Milan Fashion Week is a dream to behold in itself, and when combined with the dizzying spectacle outside the shows, it becomes impossible to ignore. Here, show-goers, fashion lovers and, of course, more and more celebrities are becoming increasingly intertwined with the anticipation of fashion shows. In addition to being an exciting front row seat, swarms of paparazzi and adoring fans swarm the streets, imbuing the scene with a uniquely frenetic mood that further heightens the whole atmosphere.
Gucci’s front row this time includes Salma Hayek, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Solange Knowles, Julia Garner, Davika, Xiao Zhan, and New Jeans house ambassador Honey, making it the largest ever. He was part of a star-studded front row. At Prada, the girls came to kill. From Hunter Schafer and Emma Watson to Kim Tae-ri and Jeon So-mi.
