scenery It appears co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar were once part of a dastardly scheme to uncover who was leaking their gossip to the press.
On Thursday morning’s (February 29) episode of the popular daytime talk show, Goldberg introduced a Hot Topics segment about the benefits of gossip. Although the longtime host has claimed many times that “[doesn’t] Co-host Sunny Hostin revealed that she likes gossip but doesn’t do it, adding that she herself “enjoys a little tea.”
“Yeah, but you don’t like to make fun of yourself,” Goldberg reminded her, to which Hostin replied, “I don’t mind because there’s always something going on with me. ” he answered.
Goldberg told the audience: [one of those people]. But that’s actually not the case. ”
Hostin pointed out that a University of Maryland report on gossip said people “shouldn’t avoid constant abuse,” which only infuriated Goldberg even more.
“I do, because this resident’s rant doesn’t check to see if I’m happy with my business on the street, and I don’t like that,” she shot back. “I think it’s because of age. I’m a good age, but she’s still in her 50s. I don’t like people talking about me or what I do.”
Goldberg added, “Even if it’s true, if I’m not going public, why would I go public?”
Later in the conversation, Alyssa Farrar Griffin suggested the idea of ”catching the gossip.”
“What you can do is plant false information and see if it spreads,” Goldberg said to Behar after she suggested. I did it to see who was talking. ”
Hostin told the panel that she listened to Goldberg’s revelations and wanted to know more about the story. Unfortunately, EGOT recipients “don’t gossip,” Behar said, “so we’ll never know.”
“But you do!” Hostin said excitedly, and Griffin jokingly added, “You do it!”
