“Once in a lifetime summer.” GKids has released the first teaser trailer for the Japanese anime movie. monster cat anzuThe film originally premiered at the 2023 Annecy Film Festival last year as an ongoing project. It is currently completed and ready to debut in Japan this summer. This is his rotoscoped 2D animated film, co-directed by Atsuhiro Yamashita, who often makes live-action films. A master of the Japanese film world, Atsuhiro Yamashita, a rising star in the anime world, Yoko Kuno, and world-renowned artist Mirai Moriyama create a “bakeneko”! The anime follows Karin, a strong-willed girl sent to live with her monk grandfather in rural Japan, and Anzu, an even more unpredictable mythical feline who acts as her guardian. It’s about an interesting friendship. Mirai Moriyama In charge of the voice of Anzu in the title, Noa Goto Karin’s voice. Both actors played their characters in live action, which served as a reference for the animators, who translated both dialogue and movement into the final footage. Looks like a lot of fun! There’s not much footage, just a short teaser to start with, but I’m already interested enough.
